Starting a new round of work!

I’ll be doing some testing and possible repair of some RF interface parts of a mobile device.  This is an opportunity to apply some expertise I picked up while out of work.  Interesting that I picked up training on Windows programing this comes from strickly hands on exploration.

The new target is Android using Eclipse, Android SDK, Java JRE and some Is only an image that have to explain some pyt...Python. I have played with everything but Python. Edited a Python file on Friday and it doesn’t look too off the wall.

The ability to do some debugging is new to me so I’m really looking forward to getting down into that part. I have had to troubleshoot my own code for quite a while so doing it in this area should be fun.

Darn Android SDK caught me on Friday though. I was trying add virtual devices to Android and it wouldn’t let me update the files. Searched online and found out I needed to  run it in the administration mode. This is on Windows 7 the home PC on Vista didn’t require the admin step part. After finding that trick it cleaned up the issue

quite quickly. Amazing how I can search for 1/2 hour or more just to find out that the answer was only a couple clicks away.
