Staying in the innovation mindset requires effort
Being focused on a single subject will work but do not discard ideas you are not looking for. Often times the idea strikes out of the blue taking you into the unknown. You must be willing to vocalize the idea at once. The idea may be way off the wall and easy to discard at that point. Do not judge the idea instantly. Write it down immediately and do not try to remove it’s rough edges. The rough edges may conceal new avenues to approach the problem. Often times the rough edges represent unforeseen opportunities. Sometimes the side effects from an idea may be more valuable than the core it starts from.
Once you get into the zone many things pop into your awareness. This unfortunately does happen on a schedule. It requires free thinking without any restrictions. Many times when you are the expert in a subject experience has taught you to avoid dead ends. If you pay attention to those known dead ends you can restrict your reach. The ability must be properly exercised.
Then find a critical but flexible audience to bounce the idea around. The more you speak about the idea the more little supporting facts will appear. The negative side of the idea will also pop out and demand attention. Both sides must be dealt with an open mind. No one fact positive or negative should inhibit the idea from being modified into it’s final form. Â
The final form of the idea may have little to do with where the idea started. That is the normal process idea development takes. It takes twists and turns and sometimes it seems the idea decides where it wants to go. Many times while playing with an idea trying to restrict it’s direction will make it die quickly.
Staying in the innovative  mindset takes the right surroundings and atmosphere. When you get into the mindset do not expect to stay there for long. The mind can switch into the open mindset for only brief periods. The electrifying effect can be very intense.  One of the most exciting things you can experience is the eureka moment where your idea turns on a new light in a dark room. Â
When you get into the innovative mindset be sure to grab all the ideas as they fly by because they may never pass this way again.

3D video conference
Berkley is working on a immersive 3D environment for conference calls. The examples were given for having two remote developers walk side by side through 3D building plan could change how development works. The ability to manipulate virtual objects with multiple users opens new doors to worldwide development.  One goal of the teck is to enable eye contact in the conference. The technology is in it’s infancy it’s not out of the lab yet.
Creating the 3D image presently uses 48 cameras around the subject to create the live image. The 3D image would then be shareable across the internet.  The number of cameras is subject to change as he is trying to reduce the amount and give a proper experience. If both users have the ability to change their viewpoint for the other side another side effect might be a need for expanded internet speed.  Â
There are other usages beyond normal conferences. Remote teaching for dance or exercise are part of the picture. You can imagine the adult entertainment  industry would be very interested in this teck.  It’s not the target the inventor is aiming for but it can’t be excluded.

3D video conferencing is not in our immediate future but it’s getting closer.

Facebook tool Downloads your history
One of the new tools called “Download Your Information” is designed to enable users to download everything they have ever posted to the site, such as photos, status updates and wall posts.
The ability to see where you have been and what you have posted gives users the ability to know what they have posted. No news on the ability to delete any of that old data though. That would be the real breakthrough. Â
Went to my site but did not find the tool anywhere. It must be buried deep or just a hint of things to come.
